I am happlily married with 5 kids. I am an accoutant and worked in an accounting field for over 25 years. I like to make a habit of writing down whenever I have deep thoughts about God (so I won't forget). I really into Reformed Theology that is connected to Presbyterian Church in America.

Holiness

Holiness is "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13) regardless what happens in our personal situations. Holiness is giving ourselves to Christ (see Romans 12:1-2). God has given the Holy Spirit to enable us to have a holy relationship with our Father. The key to holiness is submitting to the Spirit's control in daily life that will enable us to overcome the human nature and live through grace's sufficiency. We cannot make ourselves holy but He can. The key is we are to be trustful faith in Him rather than be trustful in faith. Holiness is our spiritual relationship with God alone. It appears that (reading this thread and other threads) that everything is based on "visible" because people are looking at situation based on external elements of doctrines rather than internal and spiritual. The word "visible" is closely related to "legalism". Each of us can always trust the Holy Spirit in our lives and experiences, but we have to be careful no to trust our human reasoning and our fleshly conclusions based on visible activities. There is a great concern about people who talks too much about our relationship with faith and not enough about our relationship with Jesus. There are Christians whose experience does not follow a true inner longing to be more like Jesus. My will or God's will Jesus gave an example about God's will when He revealed His holiness when He cried in His agony, "Not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22:42). Here two wills, the lower will of the human who was God and the higher will of the God who was Man, and the higher will always prevail. So, by following Christ's example, we are to follow God's will and decisions. Back to the topic of "healing". Why put pressure on those who are not healed to focus in what needed to be done rather than encouraging them to use their circumstances to reach others who are in the same situation (as Joni did). God have been using those who are in similar circumstances as part of God's Great Commission. Now, if you don't believe that is God's will, then I feel sorry for those who is focusing so much on "FAITH" rather than God.
