Being lead by the Spirit

When people are turned away.... who profits? 1 Corinthians 14:4 "He who speaks in a tongue edifies self" 1 Corinthians 10:32 "Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God" 1 Corinthians 14:22-23 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers. So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 1 Corinthians 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 1 Corinthians 14:19 But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue. If have an attitude about this topic, especially thinking "that's your problem"... then that is spiritual gift that is not working. Philippians 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing." Being lead by the Spirit comes with responsibilities. If we think we are standing firm, be careful that we don't fall (1 Corinthians 10:12) that we are eager to have spiritual gifts, we are to try to excel in gifts that build up the church (Corinthians 14:12) to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7). If those who are listening to us speaking in tongues that we are praising God with our spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say "Amen" to our thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying? (1 Corinthians 14:16). For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). That we should not do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1) Spirit-lead is outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." That we should "not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." (Ephesians 4:30) That if we have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make our joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. (Philippians 2:1-2). Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God (Colossians 3:16).
