God's Timing
Faith in God: God's will, God's power, and God's timing. God knows what He's doing, and He knows when to do it.
We often want to run ahead of God because He doesn't seem to be working fast enough for us. We forget God is adjusting history to His purposes. He knows what He's doing. Trust His will, His power to do His will, and His timing to do it when the time is right--and not until then. That's the essence of real faith. God carries out His will in His perfect power and timing.
Is a Christian supposed to keep his eyes on his problems? No. God do not focus on problems but rather His plan and His timing.
Faith is keeping our eyes on Jesus Christ. Don't worry about our problems. If we look at our problems, we'll probably only be looking for the immediate solutions to our problems.
1 Timothy 6:12-16
Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
God's time is different than our time.
1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
He is in control of everything. Even the bad things that happen to us are circumscribed by a loving providence and God promises to use them all for our ultimate good. There is a verse in the Bible that God promises that there won’t be anything so bad happen to us that we’re not able to bear it. God does everything--He governs everything.” Accepting God's Will. There is confusion between the determined Will of God and our responsibility as a Christian.
Those who struggle the least with the Will of God are those who know the Word of God the best because the object is to claim today is mine and tomorrow is none of my business but God's. If I peer anxiously into the fog of the future, I will strain my spiritual eyes so that I will not see clearly what is required of me now. In Isaiah 55:8-9 God says, ""My thoughts are completely different from yours, and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." In 1 John 5:14-15 says "And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for".
Proverbs 27:1
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
James 4:14
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
Trust God regardless what is going to happen tomorrow.
