SPIRITUAL CONFIRMATION: By A.W. Tozer

The human personality has a right to be consciously aware of a meeting with God. There will be a spiritual confirmation, an inward knowledge or witness! This kind of confirmation and witness was taught and treasured by the great souls throughout the ages. Conscious awareness of the presence of God! I defy any theologian or teacher to take that away from the believing church of Jesus Christ! But be assured they will try. And I refer not just to the liberal teachers. God has given us the Bible for a reason - so it can lead us to meet God in Jesus Christ, in a clear, sharp encounter that will burn on in our hearts forever and ever. When the Bible has led us to God and we have experienced God in the crisis of encounter, then the Bible has done its first work. That it will continue to do God's work in our Christian lives should be evident!

TRUE WORSHIP by Ray Stedman

Quote from Ray: True worship reflects the biblical truth that we are made in the image of God. It is a way of discovering God and in that discovery becoming more like him ourselves (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Dr. John DeBrine: Songtime Radio Program

He used to pastored a church in Boston when my parents were attending during the late 60's and early 70's. We drove almost 35 miles every sunday. Anyway, I was too young to understand and at the time, I was starting to learn to "listen". I had to learn to "listen" since I didn't start hearing words until I was about 4 years old. So, I had a late start. I didn't know Christ until mid-70's. "Grow in grace so you won't groan in disgrace" is the familiar sound that comes from Barnstable, Cape Cod, Massachusetts on daily radio as Dr. John DeBrine hosts SONGTIME USA. The radio broadcast that started in Boston back in 1964 is now heard all across America from New England to the Philippines. Prior to his full time involvement with Songtime, Dr. DeBrine served eleven years as the pastor to the church that founded the New England Baptist Hospital. Now as host of Songtime, his speaking schedule takes him to churches and conferences all across the country. Whether "on the air" or at a speaking engagement, Dr. DeBrine frequently calls on his many experiences and his unique sense of humor in his sound teaching of Biblical truth. His education background includes Houghton College, the University of Rochester and Boston University. He holds a Masters Degree in Communications from Boston University and a Doctorate from Houghton College. A die-hard Red Sox fan, Dr. DeBrine lives on Cape Cod with his German Shepherd, Barney.

God's Holiness, Christians' Standards and Sin

God is love. Also, more importantly, God is HOLY. Holy comes before love. Accepting Jesus Christ for our sins and Christ's love produces from our hearts: Romans 5:8 (NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 John 4:10 (NIV) This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Submitting to God's Holiness
Romans 12:9 (NIV) Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Galatians 5:13 (NIV) You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature ; rather, serve one another in love. Should we lower God's Holiness standards? God's Holiness, Christians' Standards and Sin. If God was in a church meeting today to discuss a moral change within the local church, how would you react? Would God change His holiness in order to change the church's views on various sins? Ephesians 4:24
and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Why people do not submit to God's holiness after salvation? Why people leaving Churches that teaches God's holiness? Why some are moving to another church that don't really teach God's holiness? Some denominations "relaxed" God's holiness without God's permission. 1 John 2:18-20 (New Living Translation) Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the end of the world has come. These people left our churches because they never really belonged with us; otherwise they would have stayed with us. When they left us, it proved that they do not belong with us. But you are not like that, for the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and all of you know the truth. Understanding God's Holiness: Romans 7:12 (NIV) So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. Romans 11:16 (NIV) If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches. Romans 12:1 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Ephesians 5:3 (NIV) But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. 1 Thessalonians 3:13 (NIV)May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. 1 Thessalonians 4:4 (NIV) that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable. 1 Thessalonians 4:7 (NIV) For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Hebrews 10:14 (NIV) because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. 1 Peter 1:13-16 (New International Version)
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
2 Peter 3:11 (NIV) Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

My life........

"My disabilities do not have me. I have the disabilities and I accept them because I know who I am from the inside." JimfromOhio If you can't be thankful for what you receive, be thankful for what you escape. Anon. Even though we can't have we want, we ought to be thankful we don't get all we deserve. Anon. When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future. Eccl 7:14 NIV Sometimes the struggle is exactly what we need to become what God intends us to be (Joanie Yoder, Our Daily Bread) "I have relinquished my destiny to God's will. Nothing, praise God, not even cancer, can thwart His will. I may have cancer, but cancer doesn't have me-God alone has me. So in this light, I would value your prayers that Christ may be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death." Joanie Yoder (Died of Cancer 10/15/2004). Proverbs 16:9 We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. Proverbs 20:24 How can we understand the road we travel? It is the LORD who directs our steps. Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
