I am happlily married with 5 kids. I am an accoutant and worked in an accounting field for over 25 years. I like to make a habit of writing down whenever I have deep thoughts about God (so I won't forget). I really into Reformed Theology that is connected to Presbyterian Church in America.

Doctrines on Materialistism

God knows what is BEST for us and we are to have FAITH in Him whatever happens in this world. From God's point of view. I arrived naked from the womb of my mother; I will leave in the same condition--with nothing. One example is directly from Jesus in Matthew 6:8 "Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. Biblically, Christians are no longer "in the flesh": "You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him" (Rom 8:9). Spiritual stewardship is looking at my financial situation and to look at my life spiritually in from God's perspectives rather than from flesh perspectives. However, there are doctrines that focuses on flesh's perspectives more than God's perspectives. Its really interesting how doctrines are being used in different way, depending how you want to make them look. Each doctrines are driven by man based on their motives how doctrines are to be taught. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. The Bible clearly teaches that God knows beforehand what we will need and He will provide beforehand according to His will. There's a right time and way for everything. He knows my current state and my tomorrows, if I have one. True FAITH sees everything in focus and be able to trust God no matter what happens. God leads us to our destiny according to His will and glory. Spirit-filled Believers are those who are spiritual with spiritual attitudes of our hearts that we let the Holy Spirit do what He will through us. God's Grace is my GREATEST comfort.
