Trust God or gods?

Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me". My translation: "You shall trust no other gods before Me." Psalm 40:4 (NIV) Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Proverbs 3:5 (NIV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Romans 4:5 (NIV) However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness. Proverbs 26:12 (NIV) "Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him." 1 Corinthians 4:6b-7 (NIV) "You will not take pride in one man over against another. For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?" 1 Corinthians 1:18-19 (NIV) "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." Jeremiah 17:5 (NIV) This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD." Jeremiah 17:7 (NIV) "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him." Romans 1:21-22 (NIV) "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools." Isaiah 40:13-14 (NIV) "Who has understood the mind [d] of the LORD, or instructed him as his counselor? Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding? Isaiah 40:18a (NIV) "To whom, then, will you compare God?" Isaiah 40: 25 (NIV) "To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One. Psalm 20:7 (NIV) Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV) "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Psalm 4:5 (NIV) Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD. Psalm 9:10 (NIV) Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 19:7 (NIV) The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Psalm 28:7 (NIV) The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Psalm 31:14 (NIV) But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." Psalm 32:10 (NIV) Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. Psalm 33:21 (NIV) In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Psalm 56:3 (NIV) When I am afraid, I will trust in you. Psalm 56:4 (NIV) In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? Psalm 56:11 (NIV) in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Psalm 62:8 (NIV) Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Selah Psalm 84:12 (NIV) O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you. Psalm 86:2 (NIV) Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you. Romans 10:11 (NIV) As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

Using Verse from 1st Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Visited many denominations

In the last 25 years, I have been a member of two churches before joining my current Church (Northwest Presbyterian Church which is a member of PCA) and they were: 1. Anabaptist/Mostly Calvinism: Fellowship of Grace Brethren Church of Columbus, Ohio (in the 1980's and in the 2000's) 2. Independent Baptist: Mixer of Calvinism and Arminianism (in between) Liberty Baptist Church of the Deaf (late 80's to early 90's) While growing up, I attended local Churches that are usually Arminianism and Legalism (Together) which are mostly independent baptist churches. Other Denominations I have visited and considered throughout my life: Alliance church (Mostly Arminianism with Lordship) Mennonite Church (Arminianism/Anabaptist) Methodist Church (Arminianism) Catholic Church (Arminianism) Congregational Church (Arminianism) Many others
