My issues with TBN

Regarding TBN's ethic standards. Their Integrity is a major problem for me even though they are providing "good programs" in their broadcasting. Intergrity means there are no divisions, no difference in the way they make business decisions from ethic situation to another ethic situation. In simple terms, an organization such as TBN from my studies on their business tactics, they are not honest and often they leave impressions that are untrue or misleading. My dictionary defines integrity as 'consistency and sincerity, with no deception or pretense'. Integrity's overriding quality is wholeness. There is no discrepancy between what an organization of integrity appears to be on the outside and what he is on the inside. That's what integrity is. Consistency, the outside and inside being the same; therefore sincerity and transparency. That's what integrity means. It is the wholeness of self; therefore faithfulness and reliability and consistency are words that are related to integrity. Therefore TBN's scores of integrity and ethics are: F I don't like TBN and I never care for their ethic standards. From reading their business reports and ethic reports about them, they are probably one of the worst broadcastors around this nation based on their ethic standards. There are other broadcastors that have better ethic standards than TBN have. Which is why people today do not trust Christians because of some Christians' behaviors such as TBN's. I truly believe that Jesus requires "Christian business people" have higher intergrity and ethics than non-Christians. Many of TBN programs and of cours THE TBN do not have accountability. How many organizations, preachers and etc are willing to allow other to check on their ethics and have their financial records audited by Christians Auditors? For example of accountibility, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is one of the Charter members of the Evangelical Council For Financial Accountability (Since 12/1/1979) ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust through adherence to seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship. Founded in 1979, it is comprised of over 1,100 charitable, religious, missionary, social, and educational tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. What Is ECFA? Which means Billy's organization opened his financial books for the auditors to review and reported that Billy's organization have a very godly and realiable stewardship. If you go to ECFA's website and do a "search" on each of TBN programs' financial information and of course TBN's finanical records, you will find that many of them are not members of ECFA. If they are not opening their books, their are hiding their wealth. I should point out that TBN is being controlled by Word of Faith leaders. On the positive side: "Some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives. They preach because they love me, for they know the Lord brought me here to defend the Good News. Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me. But whether or not their motives are pure, the fact remains that the message about Christ is being preached, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice." Philippians 1:15-18 (NLT) (The Gospel of Jesus Christ is being preached) We have to trust God regardless what happens. He knows what will wake people up and turn to Him. Through good times, bad times, bad sources , good sources; He will and can do anything according to His Will.

Competition is good if its done right by attitude and behavior.

James 1:4 states that "Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." Later in James 1:12 states "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to thoe who love him." In 2 Corinthians 12:9, God said: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trials creates competition, but our weaknesses creates fear. How have we viewed our weaknesses to this point? "Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I choose to respond to it." Chuck Swindoll In my office, I have this cute cartoon. It is showing a cute person wearing the Armor of God and shooting arrows (devil's schemes). A quote under the cartoon states: "Look at it this way...... Without these trials, testing of your faith, working of patience, and fighting a good fight.......LIFE COULD BE BORING." (see 1 Peter 1:7) Reading 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 explains that our attitudes and behaviors will be tested by fire each day we walk. While we are facing trials and competiting in this world, our attitudes and behaviors will be burned and purified. Some of our weaker attitudes and behaviors will burn up while our stronger attributes will remain and get stronger. Our sinful attitudes and behaviors are consumed because they are from our fleshly motives rather than spiritual motives. God looks at our spiritual goals so therefore our goals are to be laid up in heaven rather than worldly. We should focus on building on the Spiritual foundation (Christ) with the right spiritual motives, that our spiritual attributes will be gold, silver, and costly stones that ONLY God provides. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Gal. 6:9)

Famous Quotes relating to Heresy

Ignorance is the mark of the heathen, knowledge of the true church, and conceit of the heretics. Clement of Alexandria He that is not a son of Peace is not a son of God. All other sins destroy the Church consequentially; but Division and Separation demolish it directly... Richard Baxter Theologians are called to be the church's water engineers and sewage officers; it is their job to see that God's pure truth flows abundantly where it is needed, and to filter out any intrusive pollution that might damage health. J.I. Packer It is surely harmful to souls to make it a heresy to believe what is proved. Galileo Heresy is the school of pride. George Herbert When God's sheep are in danger, the shepherd must not gaze at the stars and meditate on "inspirational" themes. He is morally obliged to grab his weapon and run to their defense. A.W. Tozer As Christ is the end of the Law and the Gospel and has within himself all the treasures of wisdom and understanding, so also is he the mark at which all heretics aim and direct their arrows. John Calvin ...he that will blow the Coals must not wonder if some Sparks do fly in his face... Richard Baxter Can a mortal ask questions which God finds unanswerable? Quite easily, I should think. All nonsense questions are unanswerable. C.S. Lewis Truth is so obscure in these times, and falsehood so established, that, unless we love the truth, we cannot know it." Pascal "OUR wisdom, in so far as it ought to be deemed true and solid Wisdom, consists almost entirely of two parts: the knowledge of God and of ourselves." Calvin, John "A man may be theologically knowing and spiritually ignorant" Charnock, Stephen "We cannot but admit that not even the least thing takes place unless it is ordered by God. For who have ever been so concerned and curious as to find out how much hair he has on his head? There is no one. God, however, knows the number. Indeed, nothing is too small in us or in any other creature, not to be ordered by the all-knowing and all-powerful providence of God." Zwingli, Huldryrch "If Christianity is untrue, then no honest man will want to believe it, however helpful it might be: if it is true, every honest man will want to believe it, even if it gives him no help at all." Lewis, C.S. "He has once for all determined, both whom he would admit to salvation, and whom he would condemn to destruction." Calvin, John "Reason is always a kind of brute force; those who appeal to the head rather than the heart, however pallid and polite, are necessarily men of violence. We speak of 'touching' a man's heart, but we can do nothing to his head but hit it." Chesterton, G.K. "Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important." Lewis, C.S. "If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning." Tozer, A.W. "If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair." Lewis, C.S. "For not only does sound reason direct us to refuse the guidance of those who do or teach anything wrong, but it is by all means vital for the lover of truth, regardless of the threat of death, to choose to do and say what is right even before saving his own life." Tozer, A.W.
