Christ's Covenant is Eternal Life

Hebrews 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. Christ through His death and resurrection, every legal hindrance has been met and satisfied. There is nothing that can keep me from assurance except my own faith. Its not about thinking our way into salvation or to reason our way into salvation. The only way to get in is to believe Him with my heart which is sealed by the Holy Spirit. We must be clear of Christ's Covenant is Eternal Life.

The Best Evangelist is.........

I have seen so many methods of "Evangelism". Some are okay, some are not okay and some are really BAD. The Best Evangelist is the Holy Spirit. We are to spread the Gospel and the Holy Spirit will do the rest. Christ is more than a system, tradition, or belief. He is a Person who knows our needs, feels our pain, and sympathizes with our weakness. A Christian who witness to others must have a good reputation, especially to the outsiders who are watching. 1 Timothy 3:7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil's trap. Evangelism requires courtesy from a believer and be Christ-like. Many have accepted Christ by watching Christians more than talking.

The movements of the Holy Spirit

Examples of the "movement of the Holy Spirit".......... If the people are submitting to the Holy Spirit, who will give them fruit. Let the Holy Spirit do what He will through you. Spirit-lead is outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Christians are no longer "in the flesh": "You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him" (Rom 8:9). The Greek word for "dwells" is okv (oike), which means "I inhabit." "If Christ is in us, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness" (Romans 8:10). Another example of the "movement of the Holy Spirit".......Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

Omnipotence of God

We are the clay and God is the potter. Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use? In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, so that the work of God might be displayed in our life. For God knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust, that He can turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. God is able to make all grace abound to us, so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. This is from A.W. Tozer:
Sovereignty and omnipotence must go together. One cannot exist without the other. To reign, God must have power, and to reign sovereignly, He must have all power. And that is what omnipotent means, having all power. The word derives from the Latin and is identical in meaning with the more familiar almighty which we have from the Anglo-Saxon. This latter word occurs 56 times in our English Bible and is never used of anyone but God. He alone is almighty. God possesses what no creature can: an incomprehensible plenitude of power, a potency that is absolute. This we know by divine revelation, but once known, it is recognized as being in full accord with reason. Grant that God is infinite and self-existent and we see at once that He must be all-powerful as well, and reason kneels to worship before the divine omnipotence. "Power belongeth unto God," says the psalmist, and Paul the apostle declares that nature itself gives evidence of the eternal power of the Godhead (Romans 1:20). From this knowledge we reason to the omnipotence of God this way—God has power. Since God is also infinite, whatever He has must be without limit; therefore God has limitless power, He is omnipotent. We see further that God the self-existent Creator is the source of all the power there is, and since a source must be at least equal to anything that emanates from it, God is of necessity equal to all the power there is, and this is to say again that He is omnipotent.

Movement of the Holy Spirit

The movement of the Holy Spirit is power of love. Along with love and under the control of the Holy Spirit, the power of love and Holy Spirit flows through us. The only way the spiritual gifts are going to operate is love. Love is the key. God is love. He gave us two commandments. We are to love God and others. With the Holy Spirit and love, I will walk in the Spirit, Christ produces the fruit. It is Christ through the Holy Spirit produces power, love, a sound mind through us. Christ helps us. Without Christ, we are nothing. Along with love and under the control of the Holy Spirit, the power of love and Holy Spirit flows through us. Christians filled with the Holy Spirit do not mae assumption and will not act like Job's friends, making bad theology based on what someone is facing when they don't know all of the facts. Job's friends were obstacles to his relationship with God when they don't really know why things are happening to Job. Self-righteousness is terrible among Christian community because it is very naturally that we judge everyone by what/who we are because it is usually smug satisfaction with self. Self-righteousness also leads to self-satisfaction accompanied by unawareness of what is going on. Job's friends acted like God's prophets sent to straighten out Job's life. Not all of their doctrines are false but they used their doctrines wrongly. Job's friends should not assume that they automatically knew what to do because they know that God is GOOD. Job's friends may assumed that he got what he deserved like some in today's world would say "if the shoes fit, then you got what you deserved". Job didn't sinned and he was not opposing God but at the same time, Job was trying to understand why his trials were happening. Job knew in his own heart that his friends were wrong. Finally, after listening to his friends for so long (20 plus chapters), in Job 21:27, Job said, "Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me." In other words, "You know, I've had it with you guys. All you do is think what I lacked against God." And that their comments just proved that they didn't love him. “Oh, Job. You’ve got a lot of sin in your life. We know, we’ve got a good theology. Our theology is that if you’ve got problems, you’ve got sin.” Job's friends ran through weeks of his personal inventory and they came up with nothing. All over the Forum, we can see kind of communication between Christians and there's no unity because of doctrine of assumption based on man-doctrine rather than true doctrine.

Details of Job's friends treating Job during his trials

Some have the attitude, "I have the knowledge and how God have blessed me with that knowledge. One of these days you will also come to know and have the same knowledge and that is when you will know the TRUTH." Job's friends were obstacles to his relationship with God when they don't really know why things are happening to Job. They claimed to know more than Job did. Some examples of bad theologies: Job 4:7 - Eliphaz told Job "Stop and think! Does the innocent person perish? When has the upright person been destroyed?" Job 5:6 - Eliphaz insisted, "Evil does not spring from the soil, and trouble does not spourt from the earth". Meaning if someone's life is messed up, then there is obviously a cause. After all, trouble doesn't come out of nowhere. Job 8:4 - "Your children obviously sinned against God, so their punishment was well deserved". Job 8:20 - Bildad said "God will not reject a person of integrity, nor will he make evildoers prosper". Job 11:6 - Zophar said "God is doubtless punishing you far less than you deserve." Job 11:13-20 - Zophar said "If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to God in prayer.......you will be protected and will rest in safety". Zophar's theology was wrong when he told Job that a godly person who suffered still cannot be righteous. Job 15:20 - Eliphaz said "Wicked people are in pain throughout their lives". Job 22:5 - Eliphaz said "Your guilt has no limit." There are many bad theologies came from Job friends' mouths that I would encourage you all to study the book of Job. There are several reason the Book of Job was placed in the Bible along with other books. One reason is bad theology. Even though we are no longer sinners (seperated from God) but we have the Holy Spirit in us that we are able to bear fruit in our sinful bodies. I know that people reap what they sow, but we cannot use this in every cases as a universal reason for all kind trials. When a personal life is confronted by affliction, people can either curse God or choose to continue to worship God as Job did. Most often, godly people in pain speak out of their frustration while never losing sight of the unltimate source of comfort. God told Eliphaz in Job 42:7 "I am angry with you and with your two friends, for you have not been right in what you said about me, as my servant Job was". This is what God said of His servant, Job: Job 1:8 Then the LORD asked Satan, "Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth--a man of complete integrity. He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil." Job suffered first set of trials Job 2:3 Then the LORD asked Satan, "Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth--a man of complete integrity. He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you persuaded me to harm him without cause." Job suffered another set of trials After Job trials happened, reading Job's friends lectures of bad theology that were used based on assumptions of Job. Let me post a few more bad comments by Job's friends (they sound like Word of Faith followers lectures ) Eliphaz Job 5:8-9 - My advice to you is this: Go to God and present your case to him. For he does great works too marvelous to understand. He performs miracles without number. Job 5:7 - "We have found from experience that all this is true. Listen to my counsel, and apply it to yourself." Job 15:4-6 - Have you no fear of God, no reverence for him? Your sins are telling your mouth what to say. Your words are based on clever deception. But why should I condemn you? Your own mouth does! Job 22:2-5 - "Can a person's actions be of benefit to God? Can even a wise person be helpful to him? Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are righteous? Would it be any gain to him if you were perfect? Is it because of your reverence for him that he accuses and judges you? Not at all! It is because of your wickedness! Your guilt has no limit!" 22:21-23 - "Stop quarreling with God! If you agree with him, you will have peace at last, and things will go well for you. Listen to his instructions, and store them in your heart. If you return to the Almighty and clean up your life, you will be restored." Job 22:28 - (about choices) "Whatever you decide to do will be accomplished, and light will shine on the road ahead of you." Zophar Job 11:3-6 Should I remain silent while you babble on? When you mock God, shouldn't someone make you ashamed? You claim, `My teaching is pure,' and `I am clean in the sight of God.' If only God would speak; if only he would tell you what he thinks! If only he would tell you the secrets of wisdom, for true wisdom is not a simple matter. Listen! God is doubtless punishing you far less than you deserve! Job 20:3 - I have had to endure your insults, but now my spirit prompts me to reply. Bildad Job 8:20 - But look! God will not reject a person of integrity, nor will he make evildoers prosper.
