We were bought with a price

We were bought at a price that we are to honor God with our body (see 1 Corinthians 6:20). Honoring God is not about faith but rather honor God and His will. The Holy Spirit is the source that Christ promised me and I am to submit myself to the Holy Spirit as I submit myself to Jesus and His Father. God is spirit and faith is required to know Christ and then, the Holy Spirit will reveal who God really is. The Holy Spirit manifests Christ into our human spirit, not to our physical eyes. Without the Holy Spirit, human pride often create the confusions and seeing contradictions that are plainly outside the field of human understanding. We are to rely on the Holy Spirit which will give us divine revelation that will assures us that certain things are true which our human imagination cannot grasp. With the help from the Holy Spirit, we believe but we cannot see in the human mind's eyes. Christian faith is inward, not outward. It is of the spirit and not of the flesh. The kingdom of God is within you, Christ dwells in your heart, and "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27) is the burning core of the Christian faith. So Christianity, the true Christian faith, is inward in nature--we are to be inwardly Christians.

My Christian Walk

My walk is this: Faith in God allows me to go as far as I can while trusting in God's grace to overcome the difficulties I face. God is asking me to stay strong in faith, keep at it, to carry on, to stick with it, as I trust in HIS possibilities. In doing so God will lift me above my circumstances as he develops my patience, character and hope. Romans 5:3-4 ".....I also rejoice in my sufferings, because I know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." I suffer to keep down pride (2 Cor. 12:7). I suffer because it is a training tool. God lovingly and faithfully uses suffering to develop personal righteousness, maturity, and my walk with Him (Heb. 12:5f; 1 Pet. 1:6; Jam. 1:2-4). Suffering or trials teach me the truth of Psalm 62:1-8, the truth of learning to “wait on the Lord only.” This means that this can require sacrifice, courage, discipline, and faith in the belief that God is good and has my best interests at heart regardless of how things might appear to me. Those are what brings me closer to God. God is looking for holiness. The heart is where God meets us because that is where we make our decisions. Our hearts are where our desires and motives are located. It is important to understand that our hearts is the state of our "flesh". Our flesh search for pleasure, pride, passions and selfish motives. There are many Christians who are still in their old ways and not becoming new persons as God called us to be holy. The Christian walk is a fight of Faith, we have to understand that living (walking) by faith, we accept purpose and plans of God however He sees fit. How does our Christian grow in Faith? We grow through circumstances. Look at it this way, we would not have grown spiritually in the acceptance and understanding of God's grace and ways if God had removed the trial. Apostle Paul wrote: “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Cor 4:18). “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Col 3:2). We need to live our lives from an eternal (biblical) perspective.

To my mother... Happy Mother's day...

Thanks for praying for me and keeping me in your heart and thoughts. I thought about you all week about what I want to say for Mother''s day. These are my thoughts of my life over the years. God created my inmost being and knitted me together in my mother''s womb. As we do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother''s womb, so we cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. This is what the LORD says— ''He who made you, Who formed you in the womb, and Who will help you and that before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will. The LORD said to Moses, ''Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?'' I was born this way so that the work of God might be displayed in my life and I know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God. The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. In my heart I plan my course, but the LORD determines my steps. In my experiences, I have learned alot and God have pruned me so much over the years. In reality, I cannot expect to escape circumstances I have faced because they will always happen, one way or another. Without circumstances, my self-discovery will not be completed and my self-judgment will be biased and imperfect. This is why I am to work along with the Holy Spirit so that I may make amendments as the circumstances demand. By discovering who I am, I will also be finding whom I am not and whom I can be through Christ. My greatest teachers have been my circumstances because my greatest spiritual growth occurred in the most unfavorable of circumstances. When I am most aware of my weaknesses, I am more inclined to collapse into God''s strength and experience His amazing grace. ''My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.'' (2 Cor. 12:9). Having faith in God allows me to go as far as I can while trusting in God''s grace to overcome the difficulties I face every day. God is asking me to stay strong in faith, keep at it, to carry on, to stick with it, as I trust in HIS possibilities. In doing so God will lift me above my circumstances as He develops my character. Bad things are never good and God never wants bad things to happen, but the Bible clearly repeated reminding me that God uses trials to work for our good for His Glory. Sometimes God allows us to suffer so He can refine us. Suffering purifies us like fire refines gold (1 Pet. 1:6-7). God will ultimately work out for my good and for His Glory. The Bible and the Holy Spirit clearly taught me that God didn''t merely promise me that temporal good will come out of difficult situations but did promised that whatever I do during my trials that God will be with me and I will Glorify God. Happy Mother''s Day !!! I love you. Your love have kept me strong and I thank you for give me the encouragements when I need them. I have not forgotten my commitments and I will meet and complete my commitments.
