Characters of God

Genesis 19:14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, "Hurry and get out of this place, because the LORD is about to destroy the city!" Deuteronomy 28:28 The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. Deuteronomy 28:35 The LORD will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head. Deuteronomy 28:59 the LORD will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses. Deuteronomy 28:61 The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed. Deuteronomy 32:36 The LORD will judge his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free. Psalm 9:16 The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. Higgaion. Selah Psalm 10:16 The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land. Isaiah 19:22 The LORD will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. Hebrews 12:29 for our "God is a consuming fire." 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Mission: Disability

I never said "it's Okay" to be sick. I am never okay with it but I am accepting the fact I have them. ..... I have repeately said: What does God want me to do about this? How should I respond to God? I don't focus on "healing" alone because I view God much bigger than that and He wants the Gospel to be spread so that others who are in similar can come to Jesus. Then how can someone interpret what Jesus said in John 9:1-3 "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." Sin was not involved so Satan is not part of the cause. The logical conclusion is that God caused this man to be blinded at birth so that "the work of God might be displayed in his life." That's the main objective and many out there are saying "NO". was born with deafness. Do I sit around and wait to be healed? NO God said we are to take ACTION while I am waiting to be healed. Whether I will be healed while living on this earth or in HEAVEN. Luke 14:27 And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:33 In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. Romans 12:1 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. The Holy Spirit tells me to keep my eyes on Jesus not on my disabilities! There are important things each of us should know and understand about our struggles as the faithful people of God. Jesus provides both strong warning and loving encouragement, for there is always the danger of losing the race, but there is also the victor's reward awaiting those who run with patience and endurance. The GREAT COMMISSION is the object rather than healing itself. I may not be feeling well physically today but I have learned to be thankful anyhow and to rejoice in the promises of God. God's eternal blessings do not depend on how I feel today. If my eternal hope rested on how I felt physically, which is temporal, I might as well forget eternal blessings. The point is this: my feelings (i.e. cope) in no way change my eternal blessings because of great examples in Hebrews 11. I will NOT dare not relate my faith and hope to my emotions of the moment and to how I feel today. My eternal hope depends on God's Word and His decisions because He will make good on His promises at HIS time, not mine. The subject of my human emotions, God does not play on our emotions to bring us to the point of His spiritual decisions. Persevered is to overcome as you said conqueoror. 1 John 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Those who are able to endure with strong FAITH shall overcome. 2 Timothy 2:12 "if we endure, we will also reign with him." Words such as persevere or endure (as well as cope) are VERY important in a Christian's life. In James 1:3 says "because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance." Psalm 86:12 I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For those who say that we do NOT know how to pray or ask for.... is not understanding how God response to our request because one of the greatest example is from Paul: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

Quotes

"If we could CONTROL God, HE would not be God, WE would be God and WE ARE NOT God!" - Sherri L. Connell Instead of being seen as having courage in tribulation, we are often viewed as being uncertain of God’s power, because we are still sick. But, the Lord knows it takes true faith to perseverance through the storms! Charles Surgeon wrote, "no faith is so precious as that which lives and triumphs in adversity" (Spurgeon, 1991, p. 636).
