My wife have the gift of prophecy but she do not know she have the gift. My wife is able to give me insights and able tell me of possible future events that I could NOT. If the Holy Spirit is using her to tell me something, as a husband, I am to listen to my wife. In the New Testament, the apostle Peter strongly exhorts to husbands to honor their wives. (See my favorite verse 1 Peter 3:7). If I do not listen and honor my wife, I have sinned against God and my prayers will not be heard. One of the main ways husbands show their wives a Christlike, sacrificial love. A husband' responsibility is to LEAD spiritually and allow his wife to use spiritual gifts. I still submit to my wife and my wife submits to me when we using spiritual gifts. Most women have the gift of prophecy just as the New Testament listed most women have the gift of prophecy. Women are very important in all local churches. In the Bible, women have made strong impact and throughout Christian history, I came to respect many great Christian women and their faith. Men need to understand that biblically that godly woman is a woman of great worth, trustworthy, hardworking, diligent, caring, thoughtful, business wise, disciplined, merciful, creative, lovely and most of all she loves God. Her attitude and actions produce a legacy that is praiseworthy (See Proverbs 31:10-31) and demonstrates a joyful freedom. Men should take anything a woman say into any consideration. Women are frankly wiser, more knowledgeable, more articulate, and more discerning than men. Romans 12For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.As for me, I have the gift of Discernment (of spirits) (diakriseis pneumaton) as apposed to my wife having the Gift of Prophecy. I have this gift to judge or evaluate the spirits so as to distinguish whether something (Prophet) is from God or from an evil source. Similar to the natural talent of intuition but of course more reliable and consistent. Basically means to clearly distinguish truth from error by judging whether the behavior or teaching is from God, Satan, human error, or human power.Every believer is anointed one way or another depending on the Holy Spirit's movement. Believers are anointed. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. So, each of us have discerning spirit to test the spirits. 1 John 2:20 "you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth." 1 John 2:27 "As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him."The anointed eye, the power of spiritual penetration and interpretation, the ability to appraise truth viewed from God’s point of view rather than human point of view.I have the title of "anointed" as well as any other Christians. I just don't "claim the title" as many do. Jesus means Savior; Lord means Sovereign; Christ means Anointed One. Scriptures revealed that God's divine involvement in our lives through the Holy Spirit. Ungenerated people have no capacity to understand God's spiritual truth; instead they created God in their own image that they are calling God's truth foolishness (1 Cor. 2:14). They are spiritually blind (2 Cor. 4:4), spiritually dead (Eph. 2:1) and spiritually ignorant (Eph. 4:18).Jesus said in the following verses:Matthew 7:15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.Matthew 24:11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.Matthew 24:24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.Mark 13:22For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible.Luke 6:26Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.1 John 4:1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.2 Peter 2:1But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.
The Holy Spirit taught me so much and lead me to my favorite verse which is 1 Peter 3:7 and listening to my wife is very important. I don't know how many men understands or even follow 1 Peter 3:7. That verse is important and very helpful in my own marriage. Open communication between my wife and I are our # 1 priorty. I will always do my best to submit to my wife's feelings and wishes because she has those gifts that the Holy Spirit is working within her. Our marriage is very Spirit-filled. Spiritual intimacy in marriage is about partnering with God. In a Christian marriage relationship, God is at the top and my wife and I are at opposite ends on the bottom. As the two of us grow spiritually, we will move upwards together toward God. Engaging in a personal relationship with God is the first and most important step in initiating spiritual intimacy. Spirit-filled is much more important than claiming any titles or abilities. Obviously, there is no real sense in which we are able to do spiritual work of any kind without the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, our faith and our works are NOTHING. Through the Holy Spirit, God's grace gave us the strength.Spirit-filled means For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved (Romans 10:8b-10). The heart believes and the mouth confesses. Both are necessary to salvation (of course to some healing). Faith is a gift from the Holy Spirit, without the Holy Spirit, you can't have faith and without the Holy Spirit, you can't be spiritual. If you don't have faith, then you don't have the Holy Spirit. Faith don't come before the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit comes before Faith. Paul was a Pharisee and he wrote in Romans 16:18 "For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people." Paul knew as a Pharisee what Jesus was talking about when He rebuked other Pharisees about faith. As a disciple, my Christian faith should be inward, not outward because the Bible teaches that faith is of the spirit and not of the flesh. Acts 15:8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.
On my view of "feminist", here it is:
Equality of being does not rule out spiritual authority and the role of submission between husband and wife. If Christians understood the methods of feminist thinking and what kind of biblical interpretation they must do as the Holy Spirit convicts a believer to decide on such issues. God is always convicting my to search my heart to follow my conscience that God have given me that I am hesitant to accept the feminist position in the world's (flesh) point of view. To understand the feminist interpretation process, we begin by examining their view of Galatians 3:28. Feminists want to rule out the submission of wives to husbands and of women to male relationship on the basis of Galatians 3:28. Men and women stand as equals before God, both bearing the image of God Himself. Yet, without making one inferior to the other. God calls upon both men and women to fulfill roles and responsibilities designed specially for them in certain situations. We are to be careful how we use the word "Submission" within a marriage. By no means that a husband is a king but rather a spiritual leader in a home as a Pastor is a spiritual leader in a local Church. In greek, there are two different meanings of the word head (kephale). One is a reference to the physical head, the skull, of the man and the woman. The other is a reference to the source and authority of Christ, the man and the woman. Commentators are divided on the meaning of the Greek word ‘kephale’ (head). Some interpret it to mean ‘source,’ while others maintain that it signifies ‘authority.’ Some scholars have examined the evidence and discovered that the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, records a number of places where the term head figuratively means ‘chief’ or ‘ruler.’ Our biblical family institution established by God (Eph. 5:22–32, 1 Pet. 3:1–7). The family is ordained by God and His authority (Gen.1:26–28, 2:20–25). My wife and I believe that this applies to "the source and authority of Christ, the man and the woman". In 1 Peter 3:7, submission means "Live with your wives". The term translated "live" means "to dwell down with," being closely aligned, being completely at home with. The little word "with" calls for close companionship, deep-down togetherness. Husbands are the ones who should be cultivating an in-depth partnership with our mates. This word "dwell" speaks of intimacy. It is letting somebody else into your life. In every marriage, there needs to be verbal, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual togetherness. The word for "live" means to "dwell together or to be at home with." Peter is telling husbands that they are responsible for the "close togetherness" in the relationship. Providing a good living should never become a substitute for sharing deeply in life. The husband is to be sensitive to the needs of the wife. Know your wife. The success of your dwelling with your wife will be in direct proportion to your knowledge of her. Knowing your wife includes those things that others don't and won't know. Her deep fears and cares. Her disappointments as well as her expectations. Her scars and secrets and also her thoughts and dreams. It calls for a sensitive spirit, a willingness to be involved, to listen, to communicate, to care. The husband is exhorted to live with his wife "with understanding."As with my wife's gift of prophecy and my gift of discernment, we both as "one", husband and wife follow the Holy Spirit as "spirit-filled" Christians should do. We are a perfect match in heaven. We have so much in common. We are best friends as well as wonderful lovers. Spiritually, we have a wonderful relationship with God and we both are excited about our future. Best example of understand Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is through marriage. God, Husband and Wife are all in one in spirit. Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. I can go further but this will get out of the topic.
