I always wondered what happens to the Gentiles of the Old Testament

I have studied the Old Testament. I always wondered what happens to the Gentiles of the Old Testament when the Jews were the "Chosen" People? People talk alot about what happens to the people in the the New Testament period when the Gentiles are finally are included. All the people have to do is to acknowledge the Holy Spirit and repent. God KNEW before each of us are born the one of us will acknowledge the Holy Spirit and the rest will not. Why the Law was given and why the priests have to have a tabernacle and sacrifices animals for sins. Why? Why? If God is God.... WHY? Psalm 74:1 [ A maskil of Asaph. ] Why have you rejected us forever, O God? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture? Psalm 88:14 Why, O LORD, do you reject me and hide your face from me? SIN Why did Adam and Eve sinned? If God is control.. why God allowed Adam and Eve to sin? Why did God chose the Jewish people during the Old Testament time? Deuteronomy 7:6 For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people. Why am I chosen and others are not? Acts 22:14 "Then he said: 'The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. 1 Thessalonians 1:4 For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you. Romans 8:33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. God says in Isaiah 55:9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. God is God. His thoughts are higher than ours. We can all act like kids asking "WHY?" Book of Romans, a GREAT book of doctrines. Written by the Apostle PAUL. The actual theme is "Gospel of God". The Whole World is Guilty before God (1:1-3:20) Justification by Faith in Christ (3:21-5:21) Sanctification through Union with Christ in His Death & Resurrection (6:1-8:39) The Problem with Jewish Unbelief (9:1-11:36) Know one knows who are elected except God alone. Jesus reminded us that "False Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible." Mark 13:22 If God rules the universe by His sovereign decrees, how is it possible for a person to exercise free choice? If a person cannot exercise freedom of choice, how can a person be held responsible for his/her conduct? A.W. Tozer explains this best when he was thinking of two distinguished theologians, Jacobus Arminius and John Calvin on the topic of Doctrine of Salvation.
God sovereignly decreed that man should be free to exercise moral choice, and man from the beginning has fulfilled that decree by making his choice between good and evil. When he chooses to do evil, he does not thereby countervail the sovereign will of God but fulfills it, inasmuch as the eternal decree decided not which choice the man should make but that he should be free to make it. If in His absolute freedom God has willed to give man limited freedom, who is there to stay His hand or say, "What doest thou?" Man's will is free because God is sovereign. A God less than sovereign could not bestow moral freedom upon His creatures. He would be afraid to do so.
We can go on discussing Doctrine of Salvation. The bottom line is the following: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). John 10:9 "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture." John 11:26 "and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." John 12:26 "Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." John 13:20 "I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me." John 14:21 "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." 1 John 2:6 "Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did." 1 John 4:6 "We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. After reading many materials, I have found that God chose the following unqualified people. Here are the following God’s CHOSEN/CALLED unqualified people to serve Him. 1. Lot got drunk and committed incest. 2. Abraham doubted God and committed adultery. 3. Jacob deceived his father. 4. Moses murdered. 5. David murdered and committed adultery. 6. Jonah got angry with God (in a sinful way) 7. Paul (Saul) murdered Christians The knowledge of God how and why He choose one and not another is too much to know that ONLY God knows. People can debate all they want "this".. "that" Debating Arminianism vs Calvinistic doctrines... and so on... on.... Proverbs 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. We are so entangled with "reasonings" regarding the doctrine of Salvation. You are either Spirit-Filled by acknowledging the conviction of Holy Spirit or don't acknowledge the Holy Spirit.

I am a Servant of God

God will not dwell in our prideful thoughts of ourselves. We are not a god or even close to Holy God however, we are to think like God as Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:16"I urge you to imitate me." The heart is where God meets us. The heart is the hardest area to heal because the heart is where "pride" springs out. Psalm 10:17--"Lord, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble." Proverbs 15:33--"Before honor is humility." The Lord lifts up the humble (James 4:10). Colossians 3:12 instructs us to put on humility. First Peter 5:5 tells us to be clothed with humility. And Ephesians 4:1-2 says we are to walk in humility. If you desire honor and glory from God, you must display humility first. That is contrary to our earthly philosophy, which exalts pride (i.e. a god). "A god" is an object of worship. "A god" is forbidden in the First Commandment of the Ten Commandments. The First Commandment: You shall have no other gods before Me (Exod. 20:3). Just because we are Christians, think we have no other gods but we do. What are our other "gods?" We all have them. No one is exempt. We should all take a long hard look at what things we consider to be important. Neither spiritual pride nor spiritual cowardice are acceptable. Proverbs 26:12 (NIV) "Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him." Isaiah 40: 25 (NIV) "To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One. We are a Christian simply because I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is IN us. We have God in us, which does not mean we are a god. As a disciple, our Christian faith should be inward, not outward (i.e. title) because the Bible teaches that faith is of the spirit and not of the flesh. Christ dwells in our hearts, and "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27) is the burning core of the Christian faith. We are not a god but rather a "Servant" and "Friends of God". Philippians 2:4-8 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross! John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 2 Corinthians 4:5 "For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake." 2 Corinthians 6:4 "Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way......." I am a teacher, a preacher because in Ephesians 3:7 says "I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power." We are to live as SERVANTS of God: 1 Peter 2:16 Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. Ephesians 4:22-24 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Are we still sinners?

We are no longer sinners? Not true, we are still sinners but forgiven sinners when we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are Christians, not gods. 1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Christ's definition of Beatitudes (Matthew 5) contradicts those who believe they are gods. We received the GIFT of Eternal Life and Eternal Kingdom through Jesus Christ. True happiness begins in our hearts, mourning over sin which leads to meekness. From the attitude of meekness, we hunger and thirst for righteousness. Through Jesus Christ, we can receive God's mercy and righteousness that our hearts will be pure. When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, the Holy Spirit came into our hearts and cleansed our sins and purified our hearts. Only God can provide happiness when we have Jesus Christ in our hearts and only Jesus Christ can give us true happiness. Happy are those who joyfully endure problems and trials because knowing God is teaching and leading us to where He want us to go. Enduring trials are part of a Christian's life. (Read: Romans 3 and James 1). God is very holy and very powerful that I am a forgiven sinner. We are to worship God from our hearts because we are the temple of the living God (2 Corinthians 6:16), that God will search us and try us, and know our thoughts.(Psalm 139:23). God knows who we are by looking in our hearts, minds and souls. Like Paul said in Romans 12:1 "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy, and pleasing to God, this is your spiritual act of worship." We still are sinners while living in this "tent" which means our bodies that are carrying the disease. We were spiritually dead but now spiritually holy and forgiven. The whole drive behind the Christian life is this longing to be conformed to the image of Christ. The more we run toward Christ and the closer we draw to Him, the more we light up this world and become salt in it. This is the way for us to be like Jesus Christ. One day we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is (1 John 3:2). We, who are truly disciples of Jesus Christ today are in the process of transformation into the likeness of our model. That process is quickened as we daily walk by the Holy Spirit. As I said earlier about Satan and Eve. Satan wanted to be equal to God. Satan wanted to be God but he can't because Satan (was Lucifer) is a CREATURE while God is the CREATOR. We ARE CREATURES, therefore we cannot be gods. 2 Corinthians 3:5 "Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God." Acts 19:26 And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that man-made gods are no gods at all.

What do I have to do after I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior?

Have to do something? I have learned that all Jesus wants from me is to love Him and submit to Him. He simply wants me to allow Him to be in my life by transferring my will to His will. A.W Tozer's quote made it very clear to me, "The Lord will not save those he cannot command." By surrendering my will to Jesus will not solve my problems. I realized that when I allow Him, my life is more peaceful and more enjoyable. I noticed that. Even though God will not take away my problems but He always been there for me when I am facing problems. I am still having problems but very very peaceful. As I posted in the past, Spirit-lead is outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." In 2 Peter, Chapter 1, verses 5 through 9: "make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. Lastly, in Romans 5, verses 3-5: "we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." The bottom line is this: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. In Romans 15:13, Overflowing hope is the gift of the God of hope by the power of the Spirit. It is that hope that carries us through the difficult experiences of life. In the time of death Paul was very brave because he had firm confidence in the final outcome. "For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake," he said, but his heart remained cheerful knowing that "our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" (2 Corinthians 4:11,17). Faith is confidence in the character of God, and hope is the sweet anticipation of desirable things promised but not yet realized. Hope is a gift from the heavenly Father "who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope" (2 Thessalonians 2:16). The Christian's hope is sound because it is founded upon the character of God and the redeeming work of His Son Jesus Christ. For this reason Peter could call it "a living hope" (1 Peter 1:3). It is living because it rests on reality and not on fancy. It is not wishful dreaming but vital expectation with Jesus Christ behind it. Faith in Christ, in His Character and His will is the key to complete faith.
